This week has gone by faster then last week. It is crazy that I only have one more week to go at the missionary training center. I fly to Arizona on July 16. I am trying to enjoy my time here as much as I can.
Something out of the ordinary this week was for the 4th of July we had a devotional on religious freedom and then got to watch fireworks from the 6th floor of one of the buildings on campus.
My teachers are incredible and I am strengthening my testimony in Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost. I am continuing to strengthen the friendships I am making with my district. Being with a companion 24/7 is DIFFICULT. I knew that was going to be a challenge for me on the mission. I am praying daily for patience and charity. I know God is there for me and hears my prayers and is blessing me with strength strength - I can feel it. His power is so real.
I played kickball this week with my zone and district and some said I was pretty good so yeah haha! Kickball is a blast.
I played piano in sacrament meeting on Sunday and my companion and I taught relief society. It was nice to play piano again, I do miss it a lot. Playing church hymns is nice because they always bring me peace.
I hope everyone has a good week and remember that you can always turn to your Heavenly Father when things are hard. We are not meant to go through life alone.
My favorite scripture from this week is Alma 7:11-13: 11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.
